Born and Raised in San Diego
Jamir’s love for art started in elementary school, inspired by his father’s precise construction drawings. His dad’s insistence on neat homework instilled a strong attention to detail and a drive for perfection—lessons he now values in his creative work.

A Love for Sports and Music
Jamir excelled in football, basketball, track & field, and baseball, with football being his strongest sport. Music also shaped his childhood, thanks to his older sister and cousin, who introduced him to hip-hop, rap, rock, pop, and gospel—broadening his creative perspective.

The Design Journey Begins
His passion for design sparked in middle school when a friend, Tyrone, introduced him to Photoshop. Instantly hooked, Jamir spent hours learning and experimenting, realizing this was his true calling.

Falling in Love with Fashion
In high school, Jamir’s passion for fashion grew, inspired by brands like Supreme, Bape, and Stussy. He began freelance designing for local brands in San Diego, but it wasn’t until he worked at Nordstrom that he gained a deeper understanding of high-end fashion—learning the importance of subtle details, collection building, campaign design, and luxury brand marketing. Later, studying at Platt College further honed his skills in Adobe Suite, typography, marketing, and design history.
